Mike leads the landscape design division at Atlantic Orchid & Garden. He has a strong background in plants and planting design, expertly combining colors and textures that perform well together. His passion is designing plantings that function like those in nature, thereby reducing maintenance and providing essential ecosystem functions to the home landscape. Mike received his degree from The University of California. Before joining the team, he was a project manager at a large commercial landscape company.

The easiest way to make the largest impact on your current landscape is expand your existing foundation beds by 6-8 feet in depth. It reduces your lawn and the required maintenance and gives the average suburban lot more of a garden feel.
