Achillea (Yarrow)

This fragrant pollinator attracting perennial has many wonderful attributes.  It attracts butterflies, and for the vegetable gardener, beneficial insects as well.  It prefers full sun and can tolerate a little drought and poor soil. It is deer resistant as well! It’s bloom time is long, June to September, and cuttings make long lasting additions to bouquets.  Depending on variety growth height varies from 15”-30” and blooms come in red, pink, yellow and rust.
