Getting Christmas Cactus to Rebloom

We just love Christmas cactus. They bloom for us Thanksgiving, Christmas and beyond. They are easy to care for and live for years. But for many of us, after the first year, they never give us another bloom. Thankfully this is an easy problem to solve. Every year, after all chance of frost is gone, set your cactus pots outside in shade. Make sure they get no direct sunlight, just filtered light. Don’t forget to water them occasionally but don’t overdo it. When the nights get cooler and drop into the lower 40’s, bring them back inside. That’s it. They will bloom beautifully for you year after year.
