Here at Atlantic Avenue Orchid & Garden we love our dogs! They are such an integral part of our backyards (and our lives!) We love when we have puppy visitors into the center – they are always so friendly and happy to visit somewhere new. Unfortunately though, not all dogs have it as good as ours! Funding animal welfare efforts in the community is a core component of our corporate giving policy because we strive to give less fortunate dogs good health and a place to call home. Join us for a very special day on Saturday August 16th! We’re having a fun, dog-filled, benefit event!
Join us for a day of fun and socialization for your pooch! We’ll have various rescue organizations on site with booths to share with you what they do for animals in our community. If they don’t have adoptable dogs on-site they will have information on all of the dogs they have up for adoption! Come find the next member of your family. We’ll have a raffle with lots of great prizes to benefit participating organizations! For a small donation have your dogs picture taken by Colleen Bogner Photography in front of a beautiful backdrop of shrubs and flowers! Colleen will be here taking pictures from 11am-1pm.
Let your pooch help you “sniff out” big savings throughout the garden center! We’ll have doggie treat bags containing coupons for money off your purchase!
We will have several great prizes up for raffle (all money going to charity of course!) We have wonderful gift baskets available from Gourmutt’s Bakery, Dogtopia, Unleashed, Pet Mania and more! We also have luxury dog house for any small dog to live it up, gift certificates to Irregardless Cafe, VISA gift cards, Atlantic Avenue Orchid & Garden gift cards and more!
While you’re here stop into the greenhouse to learn about pet safe houseplants! Dr. Simpson of Care First Animal Hospital will be around to talk about keeping your pets away from toxic plants, how to identify signs of distress, and what to do. We’ll have a display of our favorite non-toxic houseplants for any pet friendly home.
Friendly, vaccinated dogs are welcome! Please be respectful of others and clean up after your pet.
